Welcome on the webiste of the Maastricht Studenten Alpen Club (Maastricht Student Climbing Association), the MaasSAC.
The association is for all students of Maastricht University and the Hogeschool Zuyd.
We are supported by the Maastrichtse Universitaire Sport Stichting (Sportraad MUSST), a governing body supporting student sport associations in Maastricht and the Dutch Student Climbing Association (NSAC).
The MaasSAC mainly focuses on sportclimbing, bouldering, alpinism and alike. We offer training three times a week, once a week guided by one of our most advanced climbers of the Netherlands. And we go climbing outside on a regular base in Belgium, France etc.
We also offer you courses at the level of very basic beginners Indoor Toproping, up to outdoor leadclimbing and basic alpinism.
If you are interested in climbing, get in touch with us, join us for a test training and of course if you enjoy it, become a member of the MaasSAC.
Every member is free to climb 7 days a week, 365 days a year. To become a member of the MaasSAC you have to buy a UM-sports card and if you want to go climbing outside you have to become a member of the Dutch Climbing Association (NKBV) or the national climbing Association in your own country.
